Keep connections close, Keep personal data private.

Jackdaw Book keeps the names and dates you're expected to know, in one plain book you can read at a glance.

Tap a circle to open it. Tap a person to centre the diagram on them and walk outward from there.

Your memory book

0 people

Pick who in this circle they come through — a spouse, a parent, the friend who introduced you. Choose the first option if they connect straight to you.

Sorted by whose birthday is next

    Your circles

Every circle becomes its own branch on the diagram. Name them after the parts of your life that actually exist — the lake house, your old block, the raid group.

Lock this book with a passcode on the account page.

      No signups or Email needed

One screen. Type a name, say how you know them, done. No accounts to create, no passwords, no setup wizard, nothing to learn.

      Nothing leaves your phone

Names sit in your device's own storage. There is no Jackdaw Book server holding your family tree, because there is no Jackdaw Book server. Back up to a file whenever you want.

      Locked with your own passcode

Set a passcode and your whole book is encrypted with AES-256 before it touches storage. The key is derived from your passcode and never saved, so nobody can open it without you — including us. Backup files are encrypted too.

We do not sell your data

Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We could not sell your names if we wanted to, because we never receive them. The site is served over HTTPS and the ads that fund it never see what you have saved.

      Circles you name yourself

Family, hometown friends, college, work, teammates, neighbors, gaming, dating, the small business, the lake house. Add your own. Each circle branches off you on the diagram, so you find a name by remembering where you know the person from — which is how memory actually works.

      People come with people

Nobody arrives alone. Link a new name to someone already in that circle — Priya's son, Dee's dog, Ed's wife — and pick the relationship from a list. The diagram draws the connection, so you remember Rohan by remembering Priya.

      Birthdays that surface themselves

The list sorts by whose birthday comes next. Anything in the next thirty days shows a countdown.
